Its been way too long since my last blog entry …. We have just come off the back of another whirlwind of work, looking forward to a little down time …… and shooting some more personal work.

Phase One, in collaboration with Profoto, has released the V-Grip Air — a vertical grip with built-in wireless flash trigger for Phase One medium format digital camera systems. The V-Grip Air was specifically designed for the Phase One  camera and allows wireless flash control at speeds of up to 1/1600 seconds …. YES you read it right …… 1/1600 of a second mother fockers !!!!!!!

The V-Grip also offers more shooting styles, and delivers longer camera battery life through power integration and easy firmware upgrades besides being compatible with most Profoto flash systems as well as other third party flashes via an optional Profoto transceiver unit.

It was surreal and all types of crazy, receiving an e mail asking if I would be interested in flying to Vancouver to shoot Steven Seagal …… I mean Steven fucking Seagal right????!!!!!

I remember sneeking into the local movie theatre with a mate to see “Above the Law” when I was 12 years old, it blew me away …. I had never seen anyone f*#@ s#*! up like Nico! The fight scenes were awwwwesome! ….. I was hooked and made my parents take me to Karate lessons the next day.

Dont get me started on “Hard to Kill” with Kelly Le Brock in 1990 …… good times.

The first time I got introduced to him … I was shocked! he is seriously a big dude … I mean im 6 ‘ 4″ tall and around 120 kg, and he made ME feel small. I think hes around 6′ 8″ when I shook hands with him, it was like shaking the hand of King Kong. I wonder if he could tell that I was wearing his aftershave ……… “Scent of Action”

It was one of the best trips I have done so far …….. in between shooting Seagal in Vancouver, We saw the Giants play the Seahawks in Seattle, and stayed at the Chateau Marmont in LA and crashed a poncy model party in the Hollywood hills.
